Families of children who have reached seven years of age, i.e. in grade 2 at school, are invited to prepare for the sacraments of First Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Holy Communion every year in St Patrick’s Parish and every second year in St Peter’s Parish. If you have a child who is not in grade two, who you would like to complete the sacraments, please phone the parish office so that an invitation can be sent for the next program.
A parent or grandparent is required to attend preparation sessions with the children before each sacrament (5 times for Reconciliation, 4 times for Confirmation and 5 times for First Holy Communion). It is the parents responsibility, as first educators of their children in the faith, to ensure that they are ready for the sacraments.
